Day 1 Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi, you’ll be picked up by your professional guide and depart for Masai Mara. You’ll drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley, with a brief stop at the viewpoint for a chance to take photos and enjoy the stunning view. You’ll arrive at the Mara in time for lunch.
This enormous reserve is part of the vast Serengeti plains, famous for its “Great Migration.” It is home to the “Big Five”: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. At 4:00pm, you’ll embark on an evening game drive, tracking various animal species and birds with your driver-guide. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 2 Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you’ll depart with picnic lunch boxes for a full-day game viewing experience in the Masai Mara. A Masai Mara safari is a must-do highlight of any trip to Kenya. The reserve offers breathtaking panoramas in every direction, a wide range of wildlife including the “Big Five,” and a rich cultural heritage to discover. It is truly one of Africa’s greatest safari destinations.
The Great Migration takes place between July and October, adding to the excitement here. Millions of zebras and wildebeest cross the Masai Mara in search of new grazing territory, followed by predators like lions and leopards. Your guide will ensure you have the best photography opportunities and will share insights into the amazing cultural practices of the local Maasai people. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.
