You will be met at the International Airport of Dar Es Salaam by your driver/guide and our
representative. You will then transfer to the hotel.
After Breakfast we depart by road to Udzungwa Mountains National Park. Udzungwa main physical features include rolling hills, dissected plateau, waterfalls and an undulating upland blanketed by a thick rain forest which colors the area with an ethereal beauty.
Variety of animal species can be found here, including water buffalo, elephants, leopards and full of reptiles such as chameleon and snakes. Other animals include rare primates red colobus, Sanje crested mangabey monkeys, black and yellow baboon, which live in slopes of mountain all sharing the same habitation. Udzungwa National Park is now one of the top ten forests for bird conservation in Africa.
After breakfast, take a trekking that leads to the spectacular trail up to Sanje waterfalls. From here you will have a view of Kilombero Valley 180m. Back to the lodge for lunch after lunch drive to Selous Game Reserve.
Selous, Africa's largest wildlife sanctuary with an area of 54,600 sq km is bigger than Denmark and 4 times the size of Serengeti. It has the World's largest number of big game - Elephants, Buffaloes, Rhinos; Sable Antelopes. Selous also contains Wildebeest, Elands, Giraffes, Waterbucks, Zebras, Impalas, Hippos, Leopards and Lions. There are about 350 species of Birdlife.
Selous camps has created the true 'essence' of a safari refuge, for safari travelers who have 'been there and done that' throughout the big game countries of Africa now there is a camp that takes the 'best' of each safari and combines it into one remarkable experience. A base camp from which to explore on foot, by boat or by open safari cruiser the splendors of one of the largest game preserves in the world.
Day5 & 6.
Early morning breakfast, and then proceed to Mikumi National Park for afternoon game drive; Mikumi is rich in wildlife and contains the famous Big five. The camp perched above the trees stretching over the seemingly endless wilderness southwest of Mikumi National Park. 'Vuma' translated from Kiswahili meaning "a good rumour that is spread with the blowing wind". Now a reality rather than just a rumor, it is the ideal place to evoke the true spirit of Africa.
Day 7 & 8.
Leave Mikumi and drive to Ruaha for afternoon game drive. Ruaha Park with an area of 10,300sq.km.This is the second largest park, and second largest Elephant sanctuary in Tanzania. The Great Ruaha River which flows along its entire Eastern Border, creating spectacular Gorges and Scenery, features a large number of Hippos and Crocodiles. The wide variety of animals include Greater and Lesser Kudus, Roan and Sable Antelope. Birdlife is rich, with over 370 species recorded.
The Camp is a well appointed camp built on the banks of a sand river and ideally situated in the middle of the part of the park where wildlife is most concentrated. Experience a wide variety of wildlife in this unique overlap of Eastern and Southern African ecosystems, which supports a vast wilderness, rich in fauna and flora.
After breakfast transfer to the airstrip for a flight to Dar Es Salaam. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel or later connect to your international flight.
